These boots are really comfortable and have ample room for my feet to rest comfortably and not feel squished. They also came with extra insole inserts If you find the boots "to roomy" and arch support inserts. Turns out , arch support on my right foot was helpful. Although I am hesitant to get boots with zippers as that is usually the weak spot (and I did have a zipper tang break within a month and Orthofeet replaced under warranty) , I wanted something easy to put on as I have bilateral foot drop and the rear zippers vs side zippers on other boots looked a lot easier for me to put the boots on. I do find these the easiest to put on due to the rear zippers and like I said earlier , they are very comfortable and roomy. I do need to use AFO's sometimes due to my footdrop but I would not recommend using "In the shoe" AFO's as I'm sure the zippers would not take the extra stress (I have other footwear for those). But I have used the AFO style's that attach to either laces or lace eyelets. What I like about these boots in regards to the "lace style" AFO's is that If you have the type that attaches to the lace eyelets , the eyelets have metal grommets in them so your not pulling on the leather and If you have the type that attaches to the laces , the bottom lace doesn't have the middle loop that some other shoes have that can get in the way. In regards to the zipper tang breaking within a month , I have always been careful with pulling on the zippers on any footwear and when I contacted Orthofeet , they responded quickly and actually shipped me a new pair which was appreciated. So as it stands , I really like these boots due to the initial quality , comfort , style and ease of putting on and off. I would recommend these and I will look at their other footwear for future purchases.
