A little flashy for a 78-year-old male, however, what the heck. They look great, feel great and are obviously extremely high-quality. I wanted a classy blue pair to go with blue jeans.I walk 18 holes almost daily and need comfortable supportive shoes. These fit the bill.I have several Ecco shoes and like them all. I especially appreciate these shoes. Although some might classify them as flashy sneakers, they are more substantial and better-constructed than tennis/training shoes. The blue vents in the sole are a bit quirky, but the upper sections work perfectly for me. Love the color with the white soles. I teach in these shoes standing as well as wear them around town.Love the look and fit of these shoes. I got caught in the pouring rain today and my feet stayed dry so the goretex worked perfectly. On the other hand .... are these actually goretex? usually there is a tag or label on the side otherwise how do I know?!I have wearing ECCO shoes for a number of years. Already owned a Navy Blue pair of these and was happy to be able to locate the Black ones as well. An EXCELLENT shoe!!!This shoe has a good look to it. It is what I was expecting appearance-wise. However, the shoe is narrow, especially in the forefoot, heavy for a sneaker-style, and rather stiff, i.e., it does not offer much cushioning. I was really hoping for a shoe that offers sneaker comfort with a classier look. While I've decided to keep the shoes, I'm a little disappointed by the design features I've mentioned. I have purchased many pairs of Ecco shoes, and have been highly satisfied with most of them. This shoe gets only a mediocre rating from me, especially since the shoes are rather expensive.Nice looking . Seems to be well made. Fits as expected form the many Ecco shoes I have worn over the years. Shoes Delivered as promised.I wear ECCO golf shoes when I play golf. I actually have 6 pair of these golf shoes. These are the most comfortable golf shoes have ever worn after 50+ yrs of playing. Thought I would give these sneakers a try for every day use. Fit is great. Shoes will become my every day shoe. Very happy with these shoes.This is my second pair of Ecco 2.0 shoes , I bought a light brown pair from an Ecco store last week and was so impressed bought a black pair via Amazon this week and saved myself £30 or so . These shoes /trainers casual footwear (they kind of fit in all those catergories ) are well made from Yak leather apparently it is stronger than cow leather and therefore allows Ecco to make the leather thinner therefore the shoe is lighter but without compromising duarability or strength , and on first impressions I would say that is true . The tread pattern is very grippy although they squeek when you walk on certain floor types but this is common to a lot of casual footwear thses days due to sole material . Ecco shoes last a long time and are hard wearing if rotated with other shoes in your wardrobe . Are they worth the premium ? I would say so but much better if you buy them via Amazon or a deal/promotion somewhere if you can it just feels money better spent if you do than buying them from an expensive bricks and mortar store .Plus Pointswell madeHard wearingGood stylish designVery light shoe100 % waterproof (using goretex)Goes with smart pants or jeans so pretty adaptable street wear. Negative points -They are a NARROW fit so beware (although I am a G wide fit I manage fine if I do not over tighten laces etc they are finePricey via a store or at Ecco website better to buy on promotion /internet if possibleThats all really the fit is the most important consideration do not buy the next size up thinking you will get a slightly wider shoe it won't be stick to your true shoe size and just don't tighten the laces to much across the foot . The shoe is a snug fit and stays on anyway so don't lace them down like your doing a Forest Gump and jogging across America .Really comfortable shoes. I was looking for something waterproof so I needn't fear puddles, but which didn't look like a walking shoe. They served me well on holiday in SE Asia, including a 14-hour day round Angkor Wat etc.I'm not a fan of the white sides of the soles, as with a darker colour they would have been passable for smarter occasions. I still can't really believe that they cost £160, and had I not been quite so specific with my requirement for waterproofing I would have gone for something else.Ecco are synonymous with comfort and quality of design. These sneakers are no exception to that rule! A little more expensive than your average shoe, but you have to pay for this comfort and class!Smart and very comfortable. I suffer with planter so comfort is very important, these fit like a glove and have great support. They look stylish with the unusual holes through the sole.Good look and great fit. Well pleased.!!! ?
